Opening film

I film weddings around St. Louis.

I’m Christian Koppel. I’ve filmed more than 400 weddings since 2018, and I’m there for every one of them myself, with several cameras, a wireless mic on the vows, and a drone when the venue and the weather allow it.

  2. 10.25.25 wedding

We have had the pleasure of working with Christian professionally, and after our experience with him, there was no question that we wanted him to film our wedding day as well. From start to finish, he exceeded every expectation we had and delivered more than we could have imagined. Not only is his work absolutely incredible, but he also brings such a calming, professional, and genuine presence to the day — which makes such a difference during such an important moment in your life. He captured every emotion, detail, and memory so beautifully, and gave us something we will cherish forever. Truly, you could not choose a better vendor for your wedding day. We cannot recommend Christian enough.

  4. An Amazing Video and a Seamless Experience

Christian with DudeFilmThis truly brought our vision to life. We wanted something a little different than the typical wedding video, and he completely understood what we were going for. He really listened to our ideas, and collaborating with him throughout the process was incredibly easy. The final video turned out absolutely amazing and captured our day in such a unique and meaningful way. On top of that, the turnaround time was impressively quick. We couldn’t be happier with the result and highly recommend DudeFilmThis to any couple looking for a videographer who is creative, professional, and great to work with.

  5. The best vendor of our whole wedding!

No joke, one of the best things we did for our wedding was book Christian. We watch our video over and over again and it never gets old. To have such a special little piece of Christian’s art belong to us forever in a perfect little video is a true treasure!! Having a videographer is our #1 tip to our friends planning weddings. Christian really captured the true essence of not only the most important day of our lives but also the nuances of our love story. My husband and I are kind of camera shy, we aren’t really the type to feel comfortable as the center of attention with cameras on us. But he made us feel totally at ease and like there wasn’t even a camera there! He’s super friendly but also professional, definitely knows what he’s talking about and had really cool tech to capture our big day. I HIGHLY recommend adding the drone footage to your package- it took our video to a whole new level being able to see the entire property and all of us dancing from above- so magical!! Don’t hesitate to book Christian!!

  6. Wedding video

He was amazing and I am so glad that I found him. He has a price that pretty much everyone can afford. He will go out of his way to make sure you are happy with his work. He will also answer any questions you may have. He also has a payment plan that I was able to pay what I could and when I could, I love the video I received from him. He made picking a videographer so easy. He was on time. And was so helpful.

About Christian

I’ve been making video for fifteen years, most of it for companies, and I shot my first wedding in 2018. I liked it more than any job I’d had, and it became the whole job. I’ve now filmed more than 400 weddings in and around St. Louis.

It’s just me. I bring several cameras, a wireless mic for the vows and a drone, but the person who answers your texts is the person holding the camera on the day. The films are cinematic, and I’m not going to pose you for an hour. Most of the day I’m filming what happens.

I keep prices lower than most studios doing this kind of work, and every collection can be paid in installments. Let me handle the cameras, so you can focus on making those precious memories.

Questions

What couples usually ask before booking. Anything else, send it over.

How far ahead should we book?
Most couples book nine months to a year out. Saturdays in May, June, September and October fill first. If your date is closer than that, ask anyway. I often have openings.
Do you travel?
Anywhere within 100 miles of St. Louis is included. Farther than that is 50 cents a mile.
What is in a highlight film?
A three to nine minute edit of the whole day, color graded and set to music, built around the vows, the toasts and the dancing. The full vows, toasts and ceremony come as separate files when they are part of your collection.
How long does the film take?
Four to twelve weeks, and I give you a date when you book. If your collection includes a teaser, that comes about two weeks after the wedding.
Should we add the drone?
If your venue has grounds or a view, yes. It is included in Gold and Platinum and is $200 on any other collection. I only fly where it is legal and where the venue allows it.
Will we have to pose?
Not much. Most of the day I film what happens. For golden hour I will give you a few simple things to do and then step back.
Can we pick the music?
Yes, within licensing. If you want something nobody else has, a custom song written for your film is available as an add-on and included in Platinum.
Do you do payment plans?
Every collection. A deposit holds the date, and you can pay the balance in whatever installments work for you before the wedding day.
How do we get the films?
As a digital download, and on a USB drive if you want a copy to keep. Raw footage is an add-on.
Do you film other things?
Engagement sessions, gender reveals and Instagram reels, on their own or added to a wedding collection.
